This is a great place. The sites are huge: easily 100' x 75' on average with a picnic table and fire ring. All sites are paved and virtually level. Many have paved "patios" as well. This park is really nice with excellent facilities. There's a good sized lake that offers fishing ($7/day) and paddle boat rentals. There were lots of people fishing so the fees must be used to regularly stock the lake. There are ball fields, a shooting range, and a golf course nearby. We did not notice any dairy smell or flies as some have posted. However, we were completely infested with ants on the second day. Took two hours of spraying and vacuuming to get rid of them. Judging by the amount of white trailer outlines on the parking spots (DE or Ajax), this is an ongoing problem so be prepared! Great value and a really nice park.

A very nice park. They have obviously been upgrading the park as there are new improvements everywhere. Check-in staff was very friendly and very helpful. Has a really nice swimming pool and hot tub. Excellent location close to box stores, restaurants, a golf course, and area attractions. I thought the price was a bit high (we were in a premium pull-through site) but it's the only park in Auburn and there were only three available sites that I saw on a Wednesday night. Price is obviously not driving away business. Sites were level, good-sized, and landscaped. I'll stay here again next time I'm in the area.

A nice park in the Thousand Trails system. It is a typical Thousand Trails park...perfectly adequate but the facilities are a bit dated. This park does have nice large sites in Phase II. Phase I sites could be a bit cramped if the park were busy. There is excellent satellite reception in most of Phase II and some of Phase I. There is good cell and aircard reception. It is a real pretty "touristy" area with a water park, go-carts, and a number of waterfront restaurants withing 5 minutes. Be sure to check out Birch Bay State park about 10 minutes south of here. It is a very pretty state park with picnicking, bike riding, clamming, and etc. Again, it is a nice Thousand Trails park.

Pretty much agree with previous comments. Water quality was pretty poor when we were here. I wouldn't swim in it, but you can catch all the bass and perch you want in the canals with a worm and a bobber. I wish they wouldn't advertise "lake view" sites....it's a bit deceptive and they charge extra. Some of the sites are along or in view of the canals which ACCESS Silverlake. Silverlake is NOT in view from any site. All in all a nice RV park for visiting St. Helens and the area. Rate was with a 20% Sun-Wed discount.

This is one of the better parks in the Thousand Trails system. Decent clubhouse, nice grounds, just facilities that need some updating like the rest of them. The pool however looks like it's either new or newly refurbished. It's big and has a nice patio surrounding it with lots of deck chairs and lounges. There are lots of nice sites in the park although some are a bit close together (typical of parks that were built before slideouts), but the park is usually only really busy on summer weekends. During the week it's about half full according to the ranger. Only 60 of 320 sites have sewer and only a few have 50 amp service. There are a couple of wineries in the area if you like wine tasting. Lake Wenatchee State Park is about 6-7 miles and is really pretty, although it is pretty crowded on summer weekends. Leavenworth is actually about 30-40 minutes away, so the park name is a bit deceptive. Leavenworth is a must-see, though. I'd definitely come back.

This is simply one of the most beautiful National Forest campgrounds I've ever seen. It's located 10 miles south of Randle at the confluence of Iron Creek and the Cispus River in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest. This is a great place to base if you want to see the Windy Ridge (east) side of Mt. St. Helens which is about 25 miles. This is a campground, not an RV park. No hookups or showers. The campground is absolutely stunning. It is in old growth forest with huge moss covered firs, 8 foot ferns, etc. Don't plan on using your satellite. Sites are HUGE, level, paved, and many can easily accommodate rigs up to 40 feet (maybe bigger.) Our Class A is 33 feet and we could easily fit into half of the sites. No problems with clearance under the trees. Each site has a picnic table and fire pit. The forest is so dense that many sites are virtually private. There are also a number of "double" sites (for double the price)if you're traveling with someone else. Yo can either reserve a site through the website, or "walk in" as about a quarter of the sites are non-reservable. The campground has four loops with many sites on C and D loop backing the river. Bring your bikes as the campground is pretty big. There is also a beautiful 1.5 mile walking trail that circles the campground. There are LOTS of places to fish in the area. Every day I caught pretty much as many fish as I wanted between the river and the creeks. If you want to dry camp for a few days, I've never run across a better campground for an RV. Although there are no services, I'm still giving this place a 10.

Not horrible, just disappointing for a park in the Thousand Trails system. I agree with previous posts about the overall condition of the park. It's understaffed and just looks dated. Buildings need paint and would it hurt to at least water the common areas? Maybe plant some flowers? We used the place as a base to Yosemite and that worked fine. During the week, the place was about 1/3 full. On the weekend it was about 80% full and WAY too noisy. The usual weekend stuff: people drinking and being way too loud at 12:00 at night, people letting their yappy dogs bark frantically for five minutes at anyone who walked past, etc. (Yes, my wife and I drink and travel with a dog, but this was out of line.) Proper staffing would be able to eliminate that type of stuff. There are some nice shady sights next to the river but they're packed pretty close together. I'd stay here again if it was the off season, but NEVER again during the summer, and especially not on a weekend.

I can't add a lot to the previous poster's review. He pretty much summed up my experience as well. The staff is GREAT; very friendly and very helpful. They even came and checked to see if we needed anything after we settled in. That should tell you about how well the place is run. We stayed here while visiting family in the area, and it served our purpose perfectly. This park is VERY quiet if you just want to relax. Not sure I'd want to spend a week here, especially in the summer (it's HOT.) Sites are large and level for the most part, with good cell and satellite reception. You can go fishing in the river for bass, catfish, bluegill, etc. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and probably will next time we're visiting family in the area.

Rate is for Good Sam. Can't really add a lot to all the other reviews. Not really a destination resort but a nice park for a stopover. I was working in the area for a couple days and this was a convenient location. The sites are pretty narrow; wide enough for slideouts but not much more. I had a tree blocking my satellite and used their cable (basic) instead. Only 25 channels, half of which would never or rarely be watched. No ESPN! I was put at the bottom of the park close to the road and it was pretty noisy. The upper part of the park is probably more quiet. Nice facilities overall and the staff was very friendly.

This is the most convenient place in the area to stay if you're visiting Grass Valley as its just a couple miles from downtown. The fairgrounds are one of the nicest in the state with tall pine trees, grass, and walking paths. You can stroll the grounds pretty much all day/evening. There is a nice big pond/small lake adjacent to the grounds for walking as well. The sites themselves are nothing to get excited about. Basically a parking lot under the pines with hookups. No grass or tables on the sites. We were there when it was relatively quiet, but I would hesitate staying here if there is something going on at the fairgrounds (draft horse classic, grower's market, fair, etc.). It could get crowded and VERY dusty. Check the website's calendar or call ahead. Still, not bad and I would stay here again for its proximity to Grass Valley and Nevada City.

Hard to give a 10 to a place with no pool, store, cable, or Wi-Fi. But for only $24/night, I'm going to anyway. Absolutely one of the prettiest places in the west. The park is just outside the boundary of Gifford Pinchot Nat'l Forest, and sits at the base of Mt. Adams with breathtaking views of the mountain. $2 more a night gets you a premium site on the edge of the meadow with the mountain behind it. Literally hundreds of places to fish, swim, raft, or go sightseeing within 30 minutes in any direction. HUGE sites most of which have 20'-30" of forest separating them for excellent privacy. All completely level. Park is adjacent to Trout Creek/Trout Lake with walking/biking trail. Bring your canoe, bikes, fishing gear, and binoculars. Town (pop 300)is 3 miles by car or 1.5 miles by foot or bike and has groceries, gas, etc. Park staff is exceptional. After someone left, the camp host would personally rake the site to make sure it was PERFECT for the next person. Beautiful grassy common grounds with swings, horseshoe pits, tetherball, volleyball net, etc. This felt as close to "camping" as you can get in a motorhome. We are going to make Elk Meadows a yearly destination.

Nice newer park with really nice facilities. Located about 1/2 mile off I-84 so it was pretty quiet. There is also a Flying J Travel Plaza between the park and the interstate for refueling, etc. Not really a "destination" type resort. We were visiting family in Caldwell for a few days and this park was perfect for us. Nice pool (a bit small), kiddy pool, hot tub, game room, and rec hall. Sites are completely level, well maintained, and have a concrete "patio" and a strip of lawn. There is also a big dog-walking area that is outside the park. Wifi was free for all three days we were there and we had adequate reception from the middle of the park. This park should be a 10 in a few years when the landscaping matures. We'll definitely stay here again next time we're in the area.

Really nice Thousand Trails with excellent access to the beach. Beautiful area with plenty to do. You can walk or drive to the beach in 5 minutes. Actually, you can drive ON the beach here. When on the beach, keep track of your small dogs as there are many eagles in the area. One swooped down to check out our miniature schnauzer and, luckily, decided she was a bit too big! Facilities are older but in great shape, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. There are bunnies EVERYWHERE (very entertaining). Spaces for the most part are adequately sized with fair to good privacy. Most people seem to park on the lower C, D, and E loops, but F, G, and H loops are up on the bluffs and some have excellent views of the ocean. They're also closer to the clubhouse and indoor pool. I'd recommend unhooking your Toad and driving thru the park before selecting a site. Great park and a really beautiful area. We'll be back.

In addition to agreeing with previous comments, I'll add that all sites are pull-throughs that are level and very spacious. This park is immaculate. No pool or playground, but very well maintained and absolutely spotless. A lot of noise from I-5 as it's very close. WiFi available @ $3.95 for 24 hrs or $9.95/wk. This park will become quieter, shadier, and prettier as the landscaping matures over the next few years. I'd use this park again as a stopover.

Nice clean park just off I-5 in Rogue River. Staff was very friendly and helpful, even helping me back into our site. Sites are all level, paved, have a small lawn, and are large enough to easily accommodate 2 popouts. Facilities are clean and well maintained. Park is located on the bank of the Rogue River. I-5 is on the other side of the river and just up the hill so there is a little bit of highway noise, but not bad. No pool, playground, or WiFi. We used the park as a stopover while traveling and would not hesitate to use it again as it's a good value, offering 10% off for Good Sam or AAA.

Stayed here for one night while traveling down the coast. Very nice park. Recently remodeled bathrooms and showers were spotless. Check-in was simple and organized. They had our paperwork sitting out and our spot was already assigned. The staff was very knowledgable and very pleasant, even suggesting a restaurant down the road (see note below) if we wanted to eat out. All sites are level, paved, and have a picnic table sitting on nicely maintained grass. Sites are plenty wide for multiple slideouts. The Eel River is about 1/8 mile away and has a walking path along the levee which was perfect after driving for 6 hours. The only thing keeping this park from being a 10 is it's right next to Hwy 101 and there is a lot of highway noise, but earplugs at bedtime solved that problem. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Side note: If you stay here, you HAVE to eat at the Eel River Brewing Co. located a block away. They're setup for couples, families (there's a horseshoe pit outside), or groups. GREAT service and GREAT food. Show them your Riverwalk invoice for a 10% discount.

Nice old KOA that looks like it's been there for some time. Staff/owners were VERY friendly and very helpful. Older park, but very clean and well maintained although the roads are un-paved and a bit dusty. A little too accessible to the public as two shady characters were using their public laundry one night and we had to tell them to leave our site. Not really a "destination" type park, but great for a stopover since there is ample shopping and dining within walking distance. We stayed there while on business in KF for a few days and would do so again.

Nice park in a beautiful treed setting. Perfect for families as there are lots of amenities for kids of all ages. Nice pool area and a really cute little old west "town" with a saloon, store, eatery, and arcade. Sites were not huge but were set up nicely for decent privacy. Good fishing lake has swim beach and boat rentals (only non-motorized boats allowed on lake). Owners are GREAT! I'd highly recommend this park. Only the lack of internet keeps it from being a 10.
